Understanding and Eliminating Incivility

Incivility is on the rise, specifically in the workplace, whether everyone may realize it or not, so what can we do to get people to acknowledge it and end it?

Sejal Thakkar discusses how to recognize acts of incivility, what to do if you witness such behavior, and how to understand what behavior is acceptable. By educating ourselves on incivility, we can help create a more respectful and welcoming work environment for everyone, and we can also use this knowledge outside of the workplace.

Competitive Vs. Collaborative Culture

Competition is all around us, and we learn about it from a very early age. Although there are negative connotations surrounding competition and conflict, Sejar Thakkar argues that a little conflict can actually be very productive.

Competition can be healthy or divisive, and understanding the difference can mean understanding how to progress in both a competitive and a collaborative environment. Thakkar describes how competition can challenge you to do better and move forward - especially within an organization - but also how collaboration can promote a higher morale and diversity and inclusion.
